IT firm starts RFID practice

There's a new RFID consulting practice in the Detroit area. IT Intellectuals Corp. has opened its RFID consultancy for financial, insurance, pharmaceutical, telecommunication, government, transportation and logistics industries. The company is located at 31275 Northwestern Highway, Suite 217, in Farmington Hills. The company has been in business since August 1999 and has branch offices in Dallas, Texas and San Diego, Calif.

"The setting up of the RFID practice will enable the company to provide automatic data collection services and identity management services to the clients in Michigan and other states," IT Intellectuals president and owner Abha Mallya said. "Industry experts forecast that by 2010 the world spending on RFID will range from $3 billion to $6.1 billion."
